THE FIVE POINT NATIONAL PROGRAM

Continental Societies, Incorporated uses HEER + Arts and Humanities

(Health, Education, Employment, Recreation and Arts & Humanities)

as the framework for developing programs.

HEALTH is essential for individuals to lead productive and fulfilling lives. Living a healthy lifestyle can help prevent chronic diseases and long-term illnesses. We support positive programs, healthy living, which is important for self-esteem and self-image, and maintaining a healthy lifestyle by doing what is right for your body.

EDUCATION is an essential part of life. It can create an opportunity of a lifetime that many aren't fortunate enough to obtain. Education is the key to success that opens the door to knowledge, opportunities, and personal development.

EMPLOYMENT develops skills, gains valuable work experience, and builds confidence. These are seen as top benefits gained in those first jobs. Additional top benefits of a first job include earning income, exploring career possibilities, and contributing to the community.

RECREATION, the fourth dimension, is an essential part of the lifestyle of each individual—relaxing the mind and body—as an individual works to fulfill that individual’s goals.

ARTS and HUMANITIES will foster an understanding of the past and present through cultural expressions.
